The more time we spend outside—exploring new places, moving through wild landscapes, and discovering the life within them—the deeper our connection to nature becomes. WUTA exists to celebrate that connection and help protect what makes it possible.
Wake Up To Adventure
Adventure begins when we step beyond the everyday—onto a new trail, into the water, down an unfamiliar road, or toward a place we’ve never seen. Time outside gives us room to explore, challenge ourselves, stay curious, and discover something new about both the world around us and ourselves.
Find Connection in the Wild
Wild places have a way of making us pay attention. The landscape, weather, water, silence, and unexpected moments all become part of the experience. Sometimes that includes an unforgettable encounter with wildlife, reminding us that we’re exploring a much bigger living world—and giving us an even deeper connection to it.
Protect What Makes It Possible
The more time we spend outside, the more we begin to value the places that make adventure possible. Healthy forests, rivers, mountains, coastlines, oceans, and wildlife all depend on thriving natural systems. WUTA believes that appreciation should grow into action, helping protect the wild places we love to explore.
Our Impact
Supporting the Orca Behavior Institute
Our conservation support includes the Orca Behavior Institute, a San Juan Island–based nonprofit dedicated to the study and conservation of wild killer whales.
Through non-invasive research, education, and advocacy, OBI helps deepen our understanding of Southern Resident and Bigg’s killer whales throughout the Pacific Northwest.
